Our regular patients enjoy the convenience of a bulk billed Quick Consult (5-7 minute visit) for services that don’t require further detailed investigation, diagnosis or treatment!
We will never skimp on quality, and we won’t become a ‘fast medicine’ clinic or a ‘Doctor How Long’ – but we do recognise that there is a community need to get certain things without incurring extra costs.
We know that many people have their one doctor that they go to for their health issues, and pop into a bulk billing clinic for their medical certificates. But, this isn’t a good idea for your family’s continuity of care. Someone who knows you well and knows your family history, may be able to pick up on little things that someone else might miss.
We also know that if you come to see us regularly for your health concerns, that you will get great care, and then when you sometimes need those little items like a medical certificate or repeat script you won’t be missing out on continuity of care by going somewhere else.
How do I book a Quick Consult?
You can do this in two ways – by calling up one of our lovely receptionists, or via our online booking page. When booking online, you need to select an appointment with the practitioner ‘Mr Quick Consults’ and then select one of the available Quick Consult types. Please keep in mind, this consultation will only be scheduled for 5 minutes, therefore if you present with something that does require a more detailed investigation, your GP will need to ask you to return so that more time can be given to provide you with quality care.

What is a Medical Certificate?
A medical certificate or doctor’s certificate is a written statement from a Doctor/GP or another medically qualified health care provider which attests to the result of a medical examination of a patient. It can serve as a sick note (documentation that an employee is unfit for work) or evidence of a health condition
What is a Repeat Script or Referral?
If your doctor prescribes you a medication that you’ll be taking on a regular basis, each time you need a repeat script this may be able to be done as a repeat prescription quick consult. This does depend on the type of medication and any changes in your health or health management. The scenario is similar for ongoing referrals to a specialist or allied health practitioner that you are or will be seeing for many years. Again, whether this can be handled as a quick consult depends on clinical judgment regarding whether any further investigation, discussion or review is required relating to your underlying health condition. You will be advised at the time of your quick consult if a standard consultation is required to meet your needs.
