Book Cranbourne North

Heart disease is one of Australia’s leading causes of illness — often developing without symptoms.

At HealthMint, our Heart Health Check is a structured assessment designed to identify cardiovascular risk factors early and support preventative care.

This appointment includes:

  • A 15-minute nurse assessment
  • A 15-minute GP consultation
  • Review of blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, lifestyle factors, and family history

The service is privately billed, with Medicare rebates available for eligible patients aged 30 years and over.

What the Heart Health Check Includes:

Nurse assessment (15 minutes)

  • Blood pressure measurement
  • Weight and BMI
  • Waist circumference
  • Lifestyle questionnaire (smoking, diet, exercise)
  • Review of recent blood test results

GP consultation (15 minutes)

  • Cardiovascular risk assessment
  • Discussion of results and overall risk profile
  • Preventive advice and next steps
  • Management plan if required

📌 This is a preventive health assessment, not an emergency or diagnostic cardiology service.

Blood Tests:

A recent fasting blood test is required for a complete Heart Health Check, including:

  • Cholesterol (lipids)
  • Blood glucose
  • Kidney Function test

If you already have recent blood results:

  • Please bring them to your appointment.

If not:

  • A pathology request can be arranged by the clinic before your appointment
  • This can be requested via HotDoc repeats on our website; we suggest allowing a week or two for the request to be processed, the blood test to be taken and then the results to arrive.

📌 Blood tests should ideally be completed before your appointment.
