Dr Saima Aftab has over 20 years of working experience as a general practitioner and is very excited to be joining the HealthMint Team!
She graduated with her primary medical degree in 1997 from Dow University in Pakistan. Since then she has been working as a family physician in Pakistan and acquired MRCGP (Int.L)UK in 2010. From 2010 to 2014 Dr Saima has worked as a family medicine specialist in Saudi Arabia. Her constant interest to gain knowledge enabled her to relocate to Australia by the end of 2014. In Australia, Dr Saima worked as a GP and pursued her FRACGP Fellowship from Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016. Having keen interest in Women's Health, Dr Saima acquired FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health in 2019.
Even though Dr Saima is fascinated by the diversity of general practice presentations, her special interests include:
- Women's Health
- Paediatrics
- Mental Health
- Chronic Disease Management
- Aged care
Since 2021, Dr Saima has begun mentoring and educating both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, something which she passionately enjoys. She is a medical educator at Eastern Victorian GP Training, assessing overseas trained doctors in addition to weekly teaching undergraduate medical students at Monash University.
Dr Saima speaks English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi languages.
Last but not the least, she is a busy mom and wife raising her 3 children. She is also very fond of gardening, taking pride in her petunias, carnations, roses as well as tomatoes, chillies and potatoes! She enjoys mindful activities such as knitting, in which she is constantly learning and improving! Dr Cho Hlaing attained her medical degree from the University of Medicine 1 Myanmar in 2008. She has been previously working as a general practitioner in country Victoria since 2015 and has since received her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.Dr Cho is very invested in the health of her patients. She is thorough, meticulous and thrives to provide attentive holistic care. She regularly participates in continuing professional development activities to keep abreast on the ever changing field of medicine.Dr Cho enjoys all aspects of general practice, of particular interests to note are women's health, children's health, chronic disease management, preventative health care and minor surgical procedures. General Practitioner (MBBS, DCH, FRACGP)
Imasha was originally from Sri Lanka before moving to Australia several years ago.
She has training in Emergency Medicine, and spent 12 months in paediatric emergency where she was awarded a Diploma in Child Health by the Sydney Children’s Hospital network.
Imasha found opportunity for a diverse experience within general practice and embarked on specialist GP training in 2018.
She received her fellowship with Royal Australian College of General Practice and has since moved back to Melbourne.

- Dr Terence ChungGPDr Terence ChungGP
General Practitioner (MBBS, FRACGP, DCH, BAppSc)
Dr. Terence Chung moved from Canada to Australia to study medicine at the University of Sydney, where he graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. He worked in various tertiary hospitals in Adelaide before embarking on GP training in rural Port Augusta and Victor Harbor in South Australia. During this time, he further obtained a Diploma of Child Health from the Sydney Children's Hospital Network. Recently, upon receiving his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice, Dr. Terence has moved to Victoria to embrace the challenge of practising in another state.

Dr Annette Barnett graduated from Monash University, and worked at hospitals in the south-east before undertaking her GP training in country Victoria. Having moved back to Melbourne with her young family, she is looking forward to working alongside the community to help them meet their health needs. She has a particular interest in women's health and dermatology, and loves getting to know patients and travelling alongside them on their health journey! General Practitioner (MBBS)
Dr Rizni is a compassionate and enthusiastic medical practitioner who is passionate about providing high-quality holistic services to his patients! He believes in staying up to date with the latest treatment and training skills in order to help his patients maintain their health and quality of life.
Originally from Sri Lanka, Rizni travelled to Pakistan to complete his Medical Degree in 2011 and has since practiced in hospitals and as a general practitioner in Sri Lanka.
Rizni enjoys working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and is fortunate to be able to speak many languages aside from English, such as Sinhalese, Tamil, Hindi, Urdu and Arabic!
Since Dr Rizni moved to Australia in 2016, he has had observership training with experienced GP’s and will be continuing his GP training journey at HealthMint in his pursuit of Fellowship with the RACGP.

Cofounder and General Practitioner (MBBS, B.Med.Sci, FRACGP)
Dr Paul is friendly, approachable and thorough, always taking the time to listen and go through everything with his patients. He is also particularly lovely with children due to his calming and friendly nature. Dr Paul holds a double degree in Medicine & Medical Science (MBBS & B.Med.Sci) from the University of Melbourne, and worked at the Royal Melbourne Hospital before embarking on a General Practice career. More recently he has completed his FRACGP (Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners). He enjoys all aspects of family care in general practice, including diagnostic medicine and surgical procedures.

Nikki has extensive experience working with adults in community services between mental health, disability, and alcohol and other drugs. She believes strongly in an empowering, person centred approach and working collaboratively with her clients.
She has expertise in treating comorbid substance use and mental health conditions, in addition to treating people with forensic histories. Nikki uses a range of different therapeutic styles, ranging from cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and schema therapy.
Nikki has a direct therapeutic style which is always combined with a strong sense of empathy and compassion. She is passionate about treating people using evidence-based approaches from all aspects of life, especially those who have complex needs.Nikki can be booked through the Graham Psychology website.

Caitlin is a Registered Psychologist with a background in both mental health and the education setting. She has experience working with adolescents and adults with diverse presenting problems, including Anxiety and Panic Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders, Stress, Family Violence, Depression, Grief and Relationship difficulties.
Caitlin uses a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental approach. Working collaboratively, Caitlin tailors her approach to best fit each individuals’ unique challenges and preferences. She believes that therapy is useful for building insight and personal growth which empowers individuals to develop helpful skills and strategies for wellbeing. Caitlin draws on a variety of frameworks such as; Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Mindfulness based approaches.
Caitlin believes that therapy is useful to everyone and aims to de-stigmatise help-seeking.

Saabira is a friendly and motivational dietitian who practices the very unique non-diet approach. This means that instead of giving you a strict diet, Saabira will work with you on your relationship with food, in order to help you make meaningful changes that will last a lifetime. Saabira is extremely understanding and easy to work with, and knows how important it is to eat and enjoy a delicious range of foods.
Saabira specialises in women's health conditions; including PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), fertility, pregnancy and hormone health, as well as disordered eating behaviours such as binge eating.

Anderson Podiatry, headed up by Mitchell Anderson, is bringing podiatry care to both our Cranbourne and Croydon practices.
Mitchell graduated from La Trobe University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Masters in Podiatry Practice. Throughout the course of his studies, Mitchell has developed a passion for providing holistic podiatry care to help keep his patient’s feet healthy and pain-free.Mitchell's love for sport saw him develop a special interest in the treatment and management of lower limb musculoskeletal injuries and sports rehabilitation.
Mitchell enjoys providing care across all aspects of podiatry from providing general nail and dermatological care to performing biomechanical assessments.
