- Dr Susan WangGPDr Susan WangGP
General Practitioner (MBBS, FRACGP)
Hi, I’m Susan — a GP who believes good healthcare starts with listening.
I take the time to truly get to know my patients — not just their symptoms, but their stories, priorities, and concerns. I bring a curious, thoughtful, and non-judgemental approach to every consultation, and I’m comfortable working with uncertainty and complexity. My aim is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered in your healthcare.
As a Melbourne local, I completed my medical degree at the University of Adelaide and gained extensive experience in respiratory medicine before moving into general practice.
I enjoy caring for a wide range of health concerns, including:

I’m passionate about preventive healthcare across all stages of life and take a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach to wellbeing. Alongside my medical training, I’ve completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training, which has shaped my belief in the benefits of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness in supporting mental health and overall wellbeing. Where appropriate, I integrate these approaches into care in a practical and accessible way.
I also have an interest in assessing and supporting patients with suspected ADHD. I work collaboratively with psychiatrists and can prescribe medication following specialist consultation, helping to provide continuity of care.

Steady Way Psychology is a private psychology practice based in Croydon, supporting adults with anxiety, trauma, stress, sleep difficulties, depression, interpersonal challenges, and more.My approach to therapy is deeply influenced by the work of Irvin Yalom and Carl Rogers, both of whom emphasize the power of the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for growth and change. Yalom’s existential perspective highlights the importance of authenticity, meaning-making, and deep human connection, while Rogers’ person-centered approach underscores the transformative impact of genuine presence, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. Both perspectives align with my belief that therapy is most effective when it fosters an atmosphere of trust, curiosity, and self-exploration.
Guided by a collaborative and transparent approach, I work in the here-and-now, exploring the patterns and relational dynamics that shape life, while also looking at the past with compassion to understand how we got here. Care is thoughtfully tailored, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities to suit individual needs. Therapy is a shared journey—one where mutual learning, empathy, and connection create the foundation for healing. The goal is to uncover the threads of each person’s story, address life’s deeper questions, and move forward with greater clarity and resilience.
